These impromptu moments

Before you accuse me of pedophelia, take a deep breath.  My kids where playing around this afternoon around the pool with their cousins.  Being the savages that I raised, clothes started to come off and skin became the accouterment of the day.  Had some 400 polaroid in the old Graflex and started to take some shots. Unfortunately the talent was less than cooperative but the outcome pleasant.

This seems much more like you than “American Living”. Top one is my favorite. Yeaaaaa!!!!! Polaroid and what it makes use do.I have a box of 55

B & W polaroid automatically adds about 15 artistic points, so overall impromptu gets a good score. Not quite Mapplethorpe… probably a good thing. Remember - inspiration is an active process!

The savages come by it honestly, don’t they?

Imagine what Sally Mann went through and all this with collodion. As I photograph my kids and having them pause, for a while now, I know that Mann pursuit was a selfish one. Regardless of the accolade and intent, there is no complicity or window. These are only mirrors that reflects her ambitions.
